Angie Countess:  Office Manager

Angie began working for Cole Animal Hospital in 1976 as a receptionist, and started here at Bentley Animal Hospital in 1997.  Although originally she worked as a receptionist, she is now our Office Manager.   Angie loves growing flowers and designing floral arrangements. 

Pat Pruett:  Kennel Manager

Pat has been in the business for over 20 years, and 15 of those he has been with Bentley Animal Hospital, caring for our pets.  He is a Huntsville native and has been married to his wife Tracy for 7 years.  He enjoys Punk Rock and wrestling while keeping a special place in heart for chihuahuas.

Betty McIllwain:  Assistant

Everyone knows Betty.  She has been with Bentley Animal Hospital for over 25 years now.  There's not a client (or animal)  that comes in here that she can't identify.  She works hard and takes excellent care of our patients.  No animal is too big or too small for Betty to hold.

Shirley Pickett:  Assistant

Shirley has been with Bentley Animal Hospital since 2001.  You can usually find Shirley keeping the doctors on track with their appointments or keeping things stocked up with all of our necessities.  From surgeries to treatments, appointments to boarders, she can do it all.

Petra Ferguson: Licensed Veterinary Technician, Licensed Massage Therapist

Petra has been working in veterinary medicine since 1998 and joined our practice in 2007,the same year she got her license as a veterinary  technician.  Because she wanted to offer an alternative or addition to the treatment of older arthritic dogs, she attended school in 2009 and was certified in Therapeutic Canine Massage. 

Petra loves her job because it allows her to be around her favorite "people" (dogs and cats) all the time. 

Joanna Chandler:  Licensed Veterinary Technician

Originally from southern Alabama, Joanna has been working as a veterinary technician since 2002.  Her veterinary experience includes small and large animal medicine and she has worked in general practices as well as emergency medicine.   Joanna started at the Animal Emergency Clinic in Huntsville in 2012 and began working for Bentley Animal Hospital in 2015.  She enjoys spending time with her children and at the beach. 

Jena Tidwell:  Assistant

Jena comes to us from the Animal Emergency Clinic in Huntsville.  She is soft spoken and very intelligent.  As you would expect, she is cool under pressure.  Very caring towards our patients and the clients, she is a welcome addition to our team.  

Delaney Richter:  Assistant

Originally from Michigan, Delaney moved to the Huntsville area in late 2007.  She has been working with Bentley Animal Hospital since 2015, having began her veterinary career as a receptionist in 2008.  She spends time in the Society for Creative Anachronism and plays flute with the Prevailing Winds Flute Ensemble.  Delaney shares her home with a precocious kitty named Toby and a teacup chihuahua named Tripper. 

Asia Gardner:  Assistant

A recent graduate of Ross Medical Education as a Veterinary Assistant, Asia has known she wanted to work with animals since a very young age.  She has quite a few pets of her own:  1 horse, 2 dogs, and 1 bird.  She is a mother to one son, who is her pride and joy.  When not working or spending time with her son, Asia enjoys horseback riding and finding time to do the one thing that all mothers dream of:  taking long naps.

Becky Jones:  Assistant

Becky started her time here at Bentley Animal Hospital in 2012.   She recently graduated from Auburn University in the spring of 2016 and looks forward to starting veterinary school soon.  While at Auburn University, Becky volunteers with the Southeastern Raptor Center rehabilitating birds of prey and training the eagles that fly before AU football games (and has had the opportunity to release one!).  Becky enjoys training and hiking with her best canine pals, Lilly and Macintosh. 

Linda Boyer:  Kennel Assistant

Linda feels blessed to have a long career working with animals, having done so for over 20 years.  She began working in the kennel at Bentley Animal Hospital in 2003.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Neil, watching wildlife, fishing, camping, and hunting for arrowheads. 

Angela Pettie:  Reception

With her husband, Angela moved to the Huntsville area from California in 2016.  She has worked as a receptionist or veterinary assistant since 2006, having taken some time off in the middle to be a mom to her four children.  She loves to take family day-trips, riding on the Jet Ski,  and searching for inspiration on Pinterest.   In her spare time, Angela is also a photographer.  Football is big in her family, and "GO NINERS!" is their battle cry.   She loves spending time with her family both two-legged AND four-legged:  she has a boxer named Allie and three cats, Juicy, Sophie and Molly.    

India Hill:  Reception

India originally began working for Bentley Animal Hospital in 2008.  She took a few years off to raise her son Brooks and returned in 2016.   She lives in Monrovia with her husband Rod, son, 5 dogs (Dewey, Tillie, Lucky, Charlie and Willie) and two cats (Nugget and Mandy).  India enjoys spending time soaking up the sun in her garden and spending time with her family. 

Megan Lewter:  Reception

In 2007, Megan began working at the Greater Huntsville Humane Society and became a part of the Bentley Animal Hospital team in 2016.  She and her husband started their family with a German Sheppard named Ruger, and welcomed their adorable son in 2012.  They have recently welcomed a stray kitty named Tonka to the family.   Megan enjoys family time, particularly blowing bubbles and making memories with her son.   Hummingbirds are her spirit animal.  

Michelle Hulsey:    Wife to Dr. Hulsey

Michelle helps around our office by organizing the lobby, doing our general deep cleaning and assisting with errands.
